So this day also says 14 from our fingers but it must be day 15?
From the Agenda:
In Israel, today is the Sabbath, Saturday. We will start the day with the stunning view of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. We then visit the Jerusalem Center. Later we will cross the Jordan River into Jordan and visit the site where Christ was baptized. The day concludes at the Intercontinental Amman Hotel.
My notes:
Today we went to Sacrament meeting and walked around BYU Jerusalem. It was so nice. I wrote notes on the back of the program. Then we drove over the boarder into Jordan. We then went to dinner with a few people to a hotel down the street for pasta and pizza. It was good. Tomorrow is Petra, Jordan.
Jerusalem Sacrament Meeting:
Speaker was Arlene Chapman:
"Wife went in to complain to bishop about husband to get council. Bishop surprised her and told her to focus on Christ instead of husbands faults. She tried for weeks but went back and said I can't do this, it's too hard. Bishop encouraged her to continue. She did and 2 years later, she introduced her husband to church leaders at a Stake conference as a member of the bishopric. At an interview after the meeting, the leader asked how he was changed. The husband said, "because I saw her change, not be manipulative and insincere anymore but he was living with an angel and it was too hard for him to push back anymore. As she became more Christlike, he changed as well....Camille Kimball said, "I knew President Kimball would always put the lord first. Don not be an enemy centered person. The Savior "saves" us. Be pro-active not re-active. To turn to Christ, change your heart and mind and don't just keep repenting of the same sins."

This is of the back of the hall where they hold Sacrament and also have musical concerts open to the public. The front where the pulpit is has a wall of glass windows overlooking Jerusalem. |
